A 14-YEAR-OLD has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man in his 70s and a woman in her 60s were stabbed.
Emergency services swooped down to the scene in Ashington, Northumberland, just before 7am today after reports of a disturbance at a property.A man in his 70s and a woman in her 60s were found suffering injuries consistent with being caused by a bladed article, said cops.The force arrested the schoolboy at the scene and he is currently in police custody.
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "At 6.50am today we received a report of a disturbance at an address on Alexandra Road, in Ashington.
