Schoolgirl killed by bus while looking at her phone has parents urging kids ‘not to put themselves in danger’
A POPULAR teenager died after being hit by a bus while distracted looking at her mobile phone.
PC Stuart Bird told Sian’s inquest that CCTV footage showed her “walking through the school grounds wearing a scarf around her head and looking down at her mobile phone” moments before the 3.30pm collision. The inquest heard that driver Mr Michael John Parker had no valid licence or insurance – only a provisional driving licence.
