Torrential downpours are hitting Scotland this weekend with much of the country covered in rain warnings.
The forecaster has now released two further warnings alongside the rare amber rain warning issued on Friday.
The second warning relates to a spell of heavy rain moving east over northern Scotland on Sunday, striking Aberdeenshire and the Highlands. The Met Office's alert warned of the chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater causing "danger to life". In northern Scotland on Sunday, the Met Office warned of difficult conditions caused by flooding. As well as fast flowing flooding creating a "danger to life" the forecast said the extreme rainfall could bring train and bus cancellations, building damage, power cuts and the chance of communities remaining cut off by flooded roads.
