Five people have been arrested and charged following a drugs recovery in Strichen. Officers executing a warrant attended an address at School Park on Sunday, 17 May, 2026, and recovered controlled drugs worth an estimated £26,650. Four men, aged 48, 40, 23 and 21, and a 46-year-old woman are due to appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 19 May, 2026.
“We will use every tool and tactic at our disposal to trace those involved in the sale and distribution of illegal substances and bring them to justice. ”A 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a series of 11 thefts and attempted thefts from vehicles, the theft of a car, and a hit-and-run crash in Aberdeen. The incidents took place in the Craigiebuckler, Hazlehead and West End areas between Friday, 8 May, and Saturday, 9 May, 2026.
Detective Constable Andrew Yule said: “We understand how distressing this kind of crime can be in our local communities and take all such reports seriously.
“We encourage owners to review their own vehicle security, as taking a few extra precautions can protect your homes and vehicles. Remember to keep doors and windows locked, ensure no valuables are visible, and consider installing doorbell or security cameras.
