The list, which was compiled by The Times, ranks secondary schools across the country based on the percentage of students who gained five higher exams in 2021 and 2022.
Jordanhill School in the west end of Glasgow was number one for the sixth year in a row, The Sun reports. Eighty-nine per cent of students at the well-thought-of school, which is an independently governed school and not controlled by Glasgow City Council, bagged five highers or more. Second place on the list was East Dunbartonshire's Bearsden Academy, with 81 per cent in 2021 and 80 per cent in 2022, reports the Scottish Daily Express. Meanwhile St Ninian's in Giffnock, East Renfrewshire celebrated 78 per cent scooping five highers, with a one per cent increase in 2022.
At the bottom of the list was Bertha Park High School in Perth and Kinross where not one pupil achieved five highers. Not far ahead of Bertha Park was Tiree High School where only one per cent of youngsters reached that bar.
