From the peaty Islay islands to the renowned Speyside region, the guide features distilleries like Lagavulin, Laphroaig, The Glenturret, and Balvenie, each offering immersive tours, tastings, and insights into the making of Scotland's national drink.

The newspaper praised the "low-peated smoothness" of the distillery's whisky. It also applauded its comprehensive tours, where visitors can see Lagavulin's distillers at work. The oldest working distillery in Scotland, it offers tours and is also home to the two Michelin-starred Glenturret Lalique Restaurant.
