New research has revealed the towns and cities across Scotland where the average price of a pint of beer is the lowest — with it costing just £3.25 in one East Ayrshire town.

All over Scotland, there are countless pubs, inns, and eateries serving up beer. While everyone has their own local favourite, some destinations are cheaper for a pint than others.

A pint in the town and former burgh in East Ayrshire was found to be £3.25. Situated in southeast Scotland, Kilmarnock is home to more than 30 pubs and bars. Elsewhere, rounding out the top five are Ayr and Falkirk. The average cost of a pint in both the South Ayrshire and Stirlingshire towns was found to be £3.50.

Finally, completing the top 10 is Inverness. In the capital of the Scottish Highlands, a pint will set you back £4.02 on average.
