Just in time for the start of summer, hotel booking platform Hotels.com has announced the winners of its inaugural Perfect Somewheres awards, with five Scottish hotels being recognised.
A new list of "perfect" hotels around the world has been revealed, and five of them are located here in Scotland.
Among the 700 hotels across the globe recognised by the awards program are three in Edinburgh and two in Glasgow. Fingal, The Balmoral Hotel, and Cheval Old Town Chambers in Scotland's capital received a Perfect Somewheres prize, as did Motel One Glasgow and Dakota Glasgow in the country's biggest city.
Finally, Cheval Old Town Chambers offers luxury serviced apartments in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town. Just a few minutes’ walk from Edinburgh Castle, the apartments range from stylish studios to spectacular penthouses. Meanwhile, Dakota Glasgow is housed within a contemporary brick building that is around just 13 minutes on foot from the city's Gallery of Modern Art. Highlights of the hotel include monsoon showers, unlimited Sky Sports and Sky Movies, and the Dakota Grill Glasgow restaurant.
