With Storm Éowyn set to batter Scotland with strong winds, heavy rain, and snowfall in the coming days, a new study has revealed the areas of the country that are 'most likely to flood'.
Scotland's 'flooding hotspots' have been named ahead of Storm Éowyn hitting our shores later this week. Strong winds, heavy rain, and snow are expected across Scotland and the UK on Friday and Saturday.
Topping the list at number one as the most likely place in Scotland to flood is Dumfries. The market town and former royal burgh in Dumfries and Galloway saw a total rainfall of 1,404mm last year. Elsewhere, in third place on the Scotland flood report is Clydebank — also situated in West Dunbartonshire. According to the experts, Clydebank saw 1,314mm of rain last year.
