Charlene Morrisey, who had been working at the tourist hub in Indonesia, was rushed to hospital on Sunday, July 21, after she was knocked from her scooter into the path of a lorry.
A Scots woman who was involved in a horror scooter accident in Bali could be flown to Australia for medical treatment.
She had placed her arm out to break her fall after being struck by the car when the HGV ran over her arm - leaving her with serious injuries. Luckily, they were able to raise the cash within 48 hours and she underwent a skin graft surgery which sadly failed after the skin died. Charlene is now facing another surgery this week as medics hope to save her arm through a pedicle flat, where the hand is stitched to the abdomen to allow skin to grow over the arm, in an attempt to save the limb.
"Doctors are waiting to see if they can save her finger. If not they will have to amputate and then do it."We are currently trying to get her flown out of the country to Perth to continue with the treatment. But we need to stabilise her and get this life-changing surgery first." "Any contribution, big or small, will help ensure Charlene receives the essential medical care she needs. The family deeply appreciates any help you can offer during this challenging time."
Now in an update on the GoFundMe page, the family say they are in talks with the UK Foreign Office to transport her home or to Australia, which is the closest commonwealth country.
