Police officers who pulled over a car for a routine stop and search unearthed a six-figure cache of cocaine

Road policing cops in the Highlands signalled a Seat Leon to stop in the area of Boat of Garten, a few miles north-east of Aviemore, on the afternoon of Thursday July 21. After halting the vehicle officers carried out a search of and found what they have estimated to be £300,000 of the Class A drug. A 33-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the haul, which was discovered at around 1.30pm. He was due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Friday and was reported to the Procurator Fiscal.Detective Inspector Andy Ingram, of Police Scotland's North East Division, said: "This was a significant seizure of Class A drugs."
