Christpher Cowe sadly died in January 2021, shortly before his 16th birthday.
A Scots family have been left heartbroken after their 15-year-old son suddenly died from an undiagnosed heart condition.
Ross, 51, will take on the Edinburgh Kiltwalk on September 17 to fundraise for heart screenings for young people. He hopes the funds will allow the screenings to be readily available to patients. The couple have raised over £30,000 in the past two years and are hoping to raise a further £2,000. Currently, it costs around £65 to screen a young person.
Speaking to Edinburgh Live, Ross said: "We very suddenly and tragically lost our son Christopher in January 2021 from an undiagnosed heart condition, so in July 2021, we set up a memorial fund for Christopher to raise awareness for cardiac risk in the young.
