A Scots dad with no health problems has died aged just 44 leaving his heartbroken family completely devastated

Katie Docherty said Robert was 'like a father figure', following the passing of her own dad, and she's hoping to support the family following the tragic death. She told Glasgow Live: "Robert was my partner's step-dad. He came into my life just after my dad died so he's been a father figure for me. "He had no health problems or complaints so his death has been a massive shock. We live down the stairs from Robert and his wife Margaret Anne, so we were chapped at 2am on Sunday and told that something was wrong with Robert.
"He was placed in a medically induced coma but he never woke up. He had a peaceful death in the end, he was surrounded by his family and friends."
