Katie Elwood, from Cumbernauld, told how five-year-old Beau had been out for a walk with her husband Stuart when tragedy struck on Friday, November 3.
A devastated Scots dog owner has spoken out after her beloved dog died while running away from fireworks.
"She ran away but didn't go far. She turned to come back but as she did another went off and that was when she bolted." Tragically Beau was later found dead after being hit by two vehicles while trying to run across Forest Road in the town. Katie says that the entire family have been left heartbroken by the loss. She said: "The entire family are devastated. She was a lovely little dog and had a brilliant nature.
