Jason Golightly walked away from the terrifying incident on the busy A1 on Wednesday evening with just a chipped tooth and sore neck.
An East Lothian driver had a miraculous escape and walked away after his car 'flipped' on a bridge. Jason Golightly, from Blindwells, walked away from the terrifying incident on the busy A1 on Wednesday evening with just a chipped tooth and sore neck.
Once the car rolled back and was upright, Jason had to kick through the door as the body of the car twisted around him. Jason's safe use of his car seatbelt most likely saved him from more severe damage, reports Edinburgh Live. Jason let his girlfriend and mother know he had been in a crash, telling his worried mum Pauline: “Don’t worry, I’m fine, but I've just been in a crash.”
Emergency services both arrived on the scene within around 15 minutes - with police clearing debris and closing down a lane to other drivers.
