Daniel Hotchkiss set fire to the vehicles as they sat outside their owner's homes in Airdrie, Lanarkshire.
A teenage firestarter who caused more than £13,000 of damage after he torched four cars is facing jail.
He then set fire to another motor before going to a neighbour's garden for a hosepipe. Firefighters had to use breathing apparatus to extinguish the flames. "He is observed walking between the two vehicles and at that point a fire ignites. The fire quickly takes effect and Hotchkiss is seen running away with his shoe on fire.
