Distressing footage shared last year captured the blaze, with passengers heard crying and speaking frantically. It was previously reported that a loud bang was heard inside the aircraft before the pilot announced they were being diverted. However, due to severe engine vibrations, fuel began leaking from the right wing tank and the plane was redirected to Prestwick airport. During this diversion, terrified passengers filmed the moment the plane's wing ignited, reports Glasgow Live.The report further stated: "The aircraft landed promptly, with full emergency service attendance.
