An investigation was first launched into A. Milne Independent Funeral Directors following numerous reports of missing ashes and funds used for pre-paid funeral plans.
Police Scotland say a 56-year-old man was arrested in connection with the ongoing investigation and released pending further enquiries.
Officers searched homes in the city's Springburn area and the suburb of Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire, where a number of items which officers believe are relevant to the investigation were seized. The probe, named Operation Koine, into the funeral directors was launched following numerous reports of missing ashes and funds used for pre-paid funeral plans.
