Kintail Mountain Rescue raced to the walker's aid after they triggered their emergency locator beacon.
A hillwalker was rescued after being swept 100 metres down a river when trying to cross through the water following heavy rainfall in the Highlands.
The team revealed the rescue mission on the Kintail Mountain Rescue Facebook page. The social media post read: "The team were alerted yesterday at 1800 hrs to a walker who had triggered their emergency locator beacon. "The walker had tried to cross a river which was in spate due to the heavy rainfall over the last few days and were swept around 100m down stream.
