Travellers returning from their holidays were also left waiting for their luggage an hour after landing.
Scots holidaymakers have slammed Glasgow Airport as "shambolic" due to hundreds left standing in huge queues to check in.
Pictures shared on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, show large lines of holidaymakers waiting to be seen at the check-in desk, reports Glasgow Live.In response, a spokesperson for the airport said: "We're very sorry to see this. We'll make sure your comments are passed back to the team at the terminal as we're always looking to improve the experience.
An airport spokesperson responded: "We're sorry to hear this. Baggage handling is organised by your airline so we'd recommend contacting them about your concerns. We hope you weren't waiting much longer."
