Richard Madden looks unrecognisable in his childhood role on BBC TV show

THE SCOTS actor looks unrecognisable in one of his early TV roles - when he starred in a young BBC children's show.

The Richard Madden played a schoolboy called Sebastian in the kids TV series Barmy Aunt Boomerang when he was just 14-years-old.He shot to fame after his role in Bodyguard and Game of ThronesThe Hollywood star landed the role after his debut as Andy in the Iain Bank's film Complicity.She played his aunt in the show which aired from 1999 to 2000, but in an usual twist, her character was a ghost.

Fans watching at the time would have no idea that young Madden would go on to be one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. After having success in a few roles as youngster, Madden went into theatre and began performing on stage whist studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.He later reprised this same role in the West End nine years later.

He also starred in Malorie Blackman's Noughts and Crosses, and in BBC comedy drama called Hope Springs.
