The event is funded by a grant from Black Mount Community Council and it’s understood fireworks have already been bought.
Horse owners fear a noisy bonfire night display near stables will terrify their animals. One woman has even offered to pay for “quieter” fireworks to be used.Horse owner Deborah Benson told the organising committee: “Modern fireworks are so loud they terrify dogs, cats and horses.
“I don’t want to spoil anyone’s fun or cost the community extra money. I’ll replace the fireworks with near silent ones and help provide music to accompany the display.”
