Emergency services were called to the Main Street area of Newtongrange on Friday June 2 following reports of a disturbance. Police Scotland has confirmed that a 24-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition is not known at this time, Edinburgh Live reports. A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident, which is reported to have unfolded outside the Dean Tavern pub.
