Officers stopped a Black Nissan Qashqai on the M6 just before 4pm on Tuesday.
A Glasgow man was arrested on a busy motorway after police allegedly discovered gold bars worth around £28,000.It's understood the car was travelling northbound on the motorway in Lancashire, in the north of England.
A spokesperson for Lancs Police Specialist Ops said: "When we stopped a Black Nissan Qashqai travelling northbound on the M6 on Tuesday, October 22, at around 3.40pm, we didn’t expect to find four 100g bars of gold with an approximate value of £28,000.
