A Scots mum and daughter were diagnosed with breast cancer within weeks of one another and went through treatment side by side

Angela said: "Mary’s diagnosis came as more of a shock to me than my own. It was unbelievable to me that my beautiful daughter, who was only 31, could have breast cancer. Mary, a former primary school teacher, chose to come home from Kenya so she could be treated with her mum's support. She arrived in Scotland as Angela's radiotherapy and surgeries were drawing to a close, and credits her mum's diagnosis with saving her life.
