Airdrie musician Brian Stewart raised thousands in memory of wife Marina - with the help of members of rock band Gun
A musician has raised nearly £14,000 for Maggie’s cancer caring centres thanks to a sold-out concert – at which he was joined on stage by stars from a top Scots band.

Brian said he is “absolutely elated” by the success of the fundraiser, and said: “I’d like to extend my thanks and gratitude to my good friends Paul McManus and Giuliano Gizzi from Gun, for attending the event, and also for their very generous contribution. He said: “It takes very special people to be able to provide this kind of support, and that’s what Maggie’s does in abundance; they have provided me and others with much-needed support during the most difficult time of our lives.
