Emergency services raced to the collision between the pedestrian and a Mercedes on Friday at 5.30pm.
Officers from Police Scotland scrambled to the rush-hour crash a Clarkston Toll at around 5:20pm on Friday 17 May.
Emergency services attended and the 86-year-old male pedestrian was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Medical staff describe his condition as critical.The road was locked down with several roads closures in place for hours as cops investigated. Top news stories today Sergeant Scott Gourlay said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who was in the area, who has not yet spoken to police, to contact us. If anyone has a dash cam, please pass on any relevant footage to us as it could assist us in establishing the full circumstances of this incident.”
