The manager will look to bring in another centre-back and right-back but could easily add more signings to his push
Aberdeen boss Jimmy Thelin will have funds available to strengthen his squad when the January window opens.
Will Thelin return to his native Sweden for talent, when their season comes to an end and contracts start to expire? If Aberdeen could get a result against champions Celtic on Wednesday night then it could put a whole different complexion on their season, in terms of a prolonged chase at the top of the table.
Another central defender could also be in the offing. Aberdeen were interested in Fulham centre half Ibane Bowat in the last window but they then pulled their interest. Later in the window went to Portsmouth. The Dons, in terms of experience, only have Angus MacDonald, Gavin Molloy and Slobodan Rubezic for the central defensive positions.
