Onlookers have described "crazy" scenes at the Scottish Grand National after protestors tried to "storm the race track" with police confirming 25 people have been arrested so far.

He told the Record: "We were sitting in the car to watch the race and the next minute, as the gun went off at the start of the race, everyone sprinted towards the race track. "Imagine a world where no horse had to die on the track for people's entertainment. Together, as a nation of animal lovers, we can create this future. It's time we fix our broken relationship with other animals and the natural world - for all life!"
