Wilma Brown, who is running in the Cowdenbeath and Kirkcaldy constituency, has been accused of spreading “conspiracy nonsense” – including posts claiming that Scottish Government aid to Gaza was going to Hamas, and the debunked viral claim that Humza Yousaf said there are “too many white people in Scotland”.

"Wilma Brown is clearly unfit to be a candidate at the General Election. Sir Keir Starmer must sack her immediately and explain why she was ever selected given her long and very public history of endorsing deeply offensive comments. Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
