A Scottish restaurant has been crowned the best in the UK
Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles was named the top restaurant by Harden's in their Best UK Restaurants guide for 2023. A total of eight Scottish restaurants are featured in the top 100, including spots in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Fife.
The only two Michelin star restaurant in Scotland, Andrew Fairlie’s restaurant offers guests an "indulgent evening in a relaxed and comfortable environment". Its signature dish is Home Smoked Scottish Lobster with a Lime and Herb Butter, while produce is from the restaurant's own Victorian Walled ‘Secret Garden’.
Elsewhere, three Edinburgh restaurants appear in the top 100: The Kitchin, Restaurant Martin Wishart, and The Little Chartroom. The Scottish capital is also the UK city with the most listings in the Top 500 outside of London. The other Scottish restaurants to appear in the top 100 are Cail Bruich and UNALOME by Graeme Cheevers in Glasgow, The Peat Inn in Cupar, and The Cellar in Anstruther.
