The water supplier has been granted permission to carry out improvement works at this long established site.
Scottish Water previously submitted a planning application to South Ayrshire Council in a bid to improve their plant at Littleton, off the B7023, and just south of the town.

The statement continues: “The principle of waste water treatment at the site is long established and the planning application seeks to secure this use of the site for the future.
