Scottish Water continues to respond to water supply issues in the G41 area of Glasgow following a ruptured underground pipe on Saturday, February 1st. Engineers are working to repair damaged sections of the network on St Andrews Drive, St Andrews Road, and Maxwell Drive. While the St Andrews Road burst has been repaired, repairs are ongoing in other areas, causing road closures and traffic disruptions. Scottish Water apologizes for the inconvenience and is committed to restoring supply as quickly as possible.
Scottish Water has issued an update as engineers work to restore supply in the Shawlands area following reports of burst water mains .
It is understood that workers are trying to repair the compromised sections of the network on St Andrews Drive, St Andrews Road, and Maxwell Drive. Pollokshaws Road remains closed between Maxwell Road and Albert Drive for essential reinstatement work. The road will reopen once the area is safe. Traffic lights have also been installed on Maxwell Road to facilitate repairs.
A Scottish Water spokesperson said: “We understand that some customers have been impacted several times since the initial burst, and we have teams actively managing pressure levels to protect the network and minimise further disruptions.
