Rose Griffiths, 69, was told she would never walk or talk again.
A mum who was told she would never walk or talk again after suffering a stroke has regained her speech – with a strong Russian accent.
Unable to read, write or speak, she was then told by a consultant that it was unlikely she would ever recover what she had lost.But the the mum-of-two was determined to get better and was stunned to find that when did regain her speech her Liverpudlian accent had disappeared. ‘When my speech came back, at first I had a Russian accent although I was born in Liverpool City Centre.’
