The Seattle Seahawks are crumbling. A 3-0 start has given way to a 3-3 record and another loss to the San Francisco 49ers , who could’ve been close to buried with a loss on Thursday at Lumen Field. Instead, the Seahawks got buried 36-24 for a sixth loss to their NFC West rivals. Geno Smith’s birthday was an unhappy one. He threw two bad interceptions and had some odd stretches of inaccuracy.
A 9-play, 70-yard drive ending in a great touchdown pass from Brock Purdy to George Kittle. Julian Love was in coverage, but Purdy had a better throw to beat good coverage. How about a dynamic kickoff? Laviska Shenault Jr made amends for his fumble by taking back the kickoff 97 yards to the house for Seattle’s first touchdown. It’s Shenault’s first TD as a Seahawk and only the second kick return TD across the NFL under the new rules, and it keeps Seattle with a pulse.
