The Seahawks have their starting center for 2024.
As anticipated, the Seattle Seahawks have added former Miami Dolphins center Connor Williams to the roster. Seattle made the move official on Sunday, shortly after announcing that Nick Harris had been traded back to the Cleveland Browns. The Seahawks signed Harris in free agency to compete for the starting center position alongside second-year player Olu Oluwatimi. When it emerged that the Seahawks were interested in Williams, it was evident how Seattle viewed the competition.
Williams began his career as a left guard for the Dallas Cowboys before switching to center when he joined the Miami Dolphins in 2022. The 27-year-old was in the middle of his best season as a pro before tearing his ACL against the Tennessee Titans last December. Incredibly, Williams has recovered rapidly and he’s in line to play in Week 1 instead of potentially starting on the PUP list.
