The Seahawks have a tough road game at Gillette Stadium against the New England Patriots.
The Seattle Seahawks won their first home game under Mike Macdonald, now they’ll look to win their first road game with their new head coach. This is a special home opener for the New England Patriots. It’s not only the home debut for rookie head coach and former Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo, it’s a celebration of the 2014 team that denied Seattle a Super Bowl repeat. Many of the players from that squad will be in attendance at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro.
Seattle picked up one first down via Jaxon Smith-Njigba, but a blown up bubble screen, a terrible sack allowed by Laken Tomlinson, and a 3rd and 15 throw to JSN fell incomplete. The Pats got good field position at their own 40 after the punt return by Marcus Jones. It took just eight plays for Jacoby Brissett to carve up Seattle’s defense and find former Washington Huskies star Ja’Lynn Polk for his first NFL touchdown. The Seahawks answered right back and with quickness.
