Everton manager Sean Dyche has had responded to questions on the club’s proposed takeover by 777 Partners

At 10am on Friday, it was announced that Farhad Moshiri has agreed to sell his 94.1% shareholding in Everton to 777 Partners, with the transaction expected to be completed before the end of this year, subject to regulatory approval. When speaking at his pre-match press conference for the Blues’ Premier League game against Arsenal on Sunday, Dyche was asked about his thoughts on the deal.

Asked if he’d had any chance to speak to the prospective new owners, Dyche said: “No, not at this stage. Like I say, strong news this morning was breaking to me as well – I knew some noise about it but not actual details – and I’m sure in due course I will speak to whoever I need to but at this stage it’s too early for all that.”

“It’s more about the modelling of the club. The Burnley situation was different, they changed the modelling of the club and have a view over how they wanted it to go.
