Iliman Ndiaye and Michael Keane both doubled their goal tallies in the Premier League at Ipswich Town, meaning they have now caught up with Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Calvert-Lewin did have the chances to pull ahead of them and join Dwight McNeil as the club’s top scorer in the league this season but was repeatedly denied by Arijanet Muric at Portman Road, twice while through on goal and once with a strong hand after the forward created the space to turn and let fly from an angle.
“I speak about it all the time but trying to find that balance is the hardest thing in football - where you have enough quality to go forward and open teams up but where the players are still resolute and working hard enough to make sure you don't open up too much and get beat. That's the balance we're looking for.” No fear at Finch Farm for what December holds Everton are now four league games unbeaten and hitting form at a good time following a miserable start to the campaign.
