The city of Seattle has filed a lawsuit against Miles Hudson, the owner of the infamous 'Belltown Hellcat.'

The complaint — the latest legal action taken against the 20-year-old — was filed Tuesday in Seattle Municipal Court. Hudson , the driver of a Dodge Charger Hellcat SRT, has 20 days to respond to the lawsuit, which demands he restore the vehicle "to a condition that complies with all requirements of the Seattle Municipal Code and pass an inspection by the Seattle Police Department.
According to the complaint, Hudson would be fined $1,300 every day after April 15 that his vehicle was not in compliance with city code. Hudson was charged in late March with two counts of reckless driving, and he was given a noise control violation notice on March 29, when the city demanded he restore the vehicle to a condition in compliance with code.The Charger has a hemi engine, which "which has a unique exhaust note," the lawsuit says.
Noise from the Charger can often be heard late at night in Belltown, downtown and beyond. Police said they receive frequent complaints about the noise from the exhaust and engine revving.he filmed himself driving at 107 mph on Fourth Avenue. A Seattle police detective said he was able to identify Hudson due to a Reddit page that was "exclusively dedicated to logging the citizens'" complaints regarding Hudson and his vehicle."I asked Hudson why he didn’t just go to a racetrack to utilize his vehicle there," the police report said.
According to court documents, Hudson and his mother purchased the Charger, and his mother is listed as the registered owner, while Hudson is listed as an additional registered owner. The Charger's original color was black, but it now has a custom tan wrap, court documents say.
