It’s hard to believe that the college football season is halfway over. After months of anticipation, projections and trash talk among fan bases, the weeks seem to fly by once the season begins. September and the first two weekends of October have set up what could be an action-packed race to the finish within the SEC. A broad-strokes summary of how the first half of the season has played out: Conference perception: Down.
The ways in which Texas A&M is losing are just as frustrating to the fan base as the losses themselves. The program has everything it needs to win on the surface, but the ongoing conversation about whether Jimbo Fisher’s coaching staff is the right one to realize that potential is growing louder. Dishonorable mentions: and South Carolina. These two teams entered the year with lower projected win totals , but at this point it’s hard to imagine either school making a bowl game.
