PSNI have issued an appeal for anyone who has footage that could assist their investigation
A second man has been arrested by police investigating an attack on a mosque in Newtownards at the weekend.
In a statement on Tuesday afternoon, police said the man, aged 46, was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including attempted arson with intent to endanger life, making a petrol bomb and criminal damage. A PSNI spokesperson said: "Enquiries are continuing and anyone with any information or footage that could assist the investigation is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 53 of 10/08/24. Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."
