At least two Republican Senators confronted the director of the U.S. Secret Service on Wednesday in response to the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.In a video shared on X, formerly Twitter, by Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn, Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle is seen being grilled by Blackburn, Utah Senator John Barrasso and others during day three of the Republican National Convention.

After a few minutes of Barrasso and Blackburn asking questions, Cheatle tells the group that she does not think 'this is the forum to have this discussion.' When Cheatle starts to remove herself from the crowd, Barrasso states, 'We're coming with you then.'The Senators are then seen following Cheatle down a hallway and up a stairway while continuing to press questions. Blackburn is heard telling the director at one point, 'This was an assassination attempt.
