Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle confirmed Monday the attempted Donald Trump assassin had a rangefinder.

During her testimony to the House Oversight Committee, Cheatle confirmed the man responsible for shooting at former President Donald Trump during his rally in Bulter, Pa. this month was in possession of such a device. “May I explain that at a number of our sites, especially when you’re at outdoor venues, a rangefinder is not a prohibited item,” she said. “It is sometimes an item that is brought in by individuals who are going to be —”
