A security guard was gunned down along 23rd Lacson Street, Barangay 5 on Thursday, March 2.

BACOLOD CITY – A security guard was gunned down along 23rd Lacson Street, Barangay 5 here on Thursday, March 2.Capt. Jonito Pastrana, head of Police Station 2, said that Dequito sustained a lone gunshot wound in the head when found lying at the roadside.Prior to the incident, Pastrana said that the victim called out on three unidentified persons after they attempted to park their motorcycle beside an establishment.

This led the three riders to just park their motorcycle on the opposite side of the road before they proceeded to another establishment for a drinking session. After two hours, two of the three persons walked towards their motorcycle, while their companion came back to the security guard and shot him, Pastrana said.The following day, one of the suspects was arrested after police responded to a report for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition in Barangay 6 here.

Upon checking a closed circuit television camera, the arrested suspect was identified as one of the two look-outs in the shooting incident, Pastrana said.Pastrana said the gunman and the other look-out are still at large.
