Seguin softball's Camryn Rios voted Athlete of the Week

The junior hit three consecutive home runs to help the Matadors to a 16-6 win over Boerne Champion. She now has a school-record 15 home runs.

Seguin junior Camryn Rios smacked home runs in three consecutive at-bats in a 16-6 win over Boerne Champion last week, ratcheting up her already torrid pace for the season and earning San Antonio Express-News Athlete of the Week honors. Rios went 4 for 4 and knocked in seven runs against the Chargers , and her three homers extended her season total to a school-record 15 long balls.

Canyon Lake senior Luke Roskin, the baseball player of the week, was second in the poll with 367 votes after he struck out seven and went 2 for 3 with a home run, two walks and four runs batted in to help the Hawks beat Wimberley 7-1. The other two finalists for Athlete of the Week were Reagan senior Isabella Dagrosa and Sotomayor senior Elijah Hernandez, who excelled on the track at the Region IV-6A championships.
