The title Wizards Beyond Waverly Place was officially unveiled by Selena at the ABC and Disney Upfronts event in May, where she expressed her enthusiasm: 'Sometimes, something magical happens when you do get to go home again.' The new series introduces a fresh generation of Russos, with Janice LeAnn Brown as Billie Russo, Mimi Gianopulos as Giada Russo, Alkaio Thiele as Roman Russo, and Max Matenko as Milo Russo.
The actress, beloved for her role as Alex Russo in the original Wizards of Waverly Place from 2007 to 2012, was later seen hitting the red carpet at the El Capitan Theatre Their romance was confirmed in December 2023, and since then, the pair have shared snippets of their relationship to social media.
