The driver can be seen dangling the large dog’s lead out the window of his car, and lets the animal take a stroll while driving along slowly.
They were filmed in Austin, Texas, by local Reilly Campbell, who can be heard to say ‘So illegal’ as she watches the scene unfold. Campbell said that officers from the Austin Police Department pulled the driver over moments after she stopped recording. Online commentators have highlighted the dog owner for putting their pet in danger, and highlighted that the animal could have been run over or crushed to death if they’d lost control of the vehicle.
