Senate Republicans are pushing back against DEI hiring practices within the NIH and agency-funded institutions.

The FIRST program’s webpage also says the program is designed “to lead to the recruitment of talented researchers from all groups” at various institutions across the country. “The hiring criteria reportedly associated with this program have no place in our nation’s medical schools,” Cassidy wrote to Bertagnolli.
