Seneca County businesses, advocates and residents are suing Seneca Meadows Inc., the operator of the Seneca Meadows Landfill, and the New York State Department

“We refuse to be silenced. We refuse to let our community continue to be collateral damage in Seneca Meadows’ pursuit of profit. Today, we demand action. We demand accountability. And we demand justice for every family whose lives have been turned upside down by the negligence of those who should be protecting us,” said Joseph Campbell, president and co-founder of Seneca Lake Guardian.

The lawsuit seeks an immediate abatement of the nuisance conditions and an injunction preventing the Department of Environmental Conservation from issuing a permit for the expansion of the landfill.
